General Terms and Conditions

The terms and conditions below apply to the services offered by Hotel Boutique Vista del Mar S. A. de C. V. through Hotel Vista del Mar, its website www.hotelvistadelmar.com, or its Call Center. These Terms and Conditions, although listed extensively, are not limiting. All operations you carry out through the aforementioned channels will be governed per the criteria expressed in this document and the current, and applicable laws of the United Mexican States and the State of Quintana Roo. By accessing this page, you accept the terms of the Privacy Policy of the same without limitation or restriction.

Booking confirmation and payment methods

When making your booking, the Hotel will charge the cost of the first night or the total of your stay according to the provision of your rate to guarantee it. You can pay this charge by cash deposit, bank transfer, or credit card (TC).

Name change: Guests cannot transfer their booking to someone else once it is confirmed. If there is an extreme necessity, guests may e-mail exposing their situation to info@hotelvistadelmar.com; however, it means no obligation to accept the change of guests for the Hotel. The change won't be authorized until officially confirmed by the sales department.

Change of room type:

  • Changes to Upgrade room, the number of guests, or room type, will be subject to availability, and current rates will apply.
  • Changes must be confirmed and authorized by the sales department.
To carry out the aforementioned charge by MEANS of a Credit Card, the related data will be required, as well as an official identification. We accept Visa, MasterCard, and American Express cards.

Deposits in cash or bank transfer will be made to the checking account in pesos or dollars in the name of the company Hotel Boutique Vista del Mar Cozumel S. A. de C. V. that is provided and once the transaction is made the client must send a copy of the deposit form by fax or email. The hotel grants a 48 hours period for the deposit to be made, in case the deposit is not made within the 48 hour period, your pre-reservation will be canceled automatically and the Hotel will not guarantee the availability or rate of the requested room(s).
Guests are required to present the original deposit upon check-in.

No personal checks or any other check issued to the name of the Hotel are accepted for the payment of lodging and / or additional consumption

We do not accept payments for reservations with deposits made to third parties, outside the Hotel Boutique Vista del Mar Cozumel S. A. de C. V

Important notices

  • · All rates are quoted in US Dollars, or its equivalent with the exchange rate of the day. These rates are subject to change without notice and the introduction of new taxes that may not have been contemplated when THE RESERVATION was made.
  • · The taxes applicable until January 2022 are 16% VAT and 3% lodging tax according to the DOF.

Check-in and check-out

Check-in opens at 15:00 hrs and closes at 22:00 hrs on the day of your reservation.

Early Check-in. Rooms cannot be assigned before check-in time, however, the hotel offers luggage storage and limited use of the facilities during waiting. Some services may cost.

The minimum age to register is 18 years old. An official photo ID and a credit card or cash deposit are required to cover additional charges.

Check-out closes at 11:00 hours. The guest must show up 30 minutes before departure to hand over keys, settle their account and sign their check-out and non-debit. You need to report your departure time and check your account the night before.

The hotel grants up to 1 hour of tolerance to leave the room at no additional cost. Departures made after 12:00 hours will have a penalty charge of 100% on one day of the current public rate of your room type.

Services included and excluded in your rate

The following services are included in the room rate:

  • Use of the pool properly.
  • Access to facilities (subject to space availability).
  • Access to our beach club (See specifications).
  • Internet access in common areas.
  • Use of the room safe with single key.

Exclusions:

  • We do not have beach towels
  • We do not have parking

Extra options:

  • Towels and whites
  • Cleaning (out of hours)

These services will be paid directly at the establishment upon receipt of the service, or, if you have left a deposit, they will be made at the time of your departure or check-out.

The above list may be incomplete. In addition, taxes may not be included. Amounts subject to change

Some activities or facilities may have limited access. Guests are invited to contact the property using the contact details on the booking confirmation.

Extra people in the room:

Children under 9 years old can accompany parents in their room at no additional cost, sharing existing beds and without exceeding the limit of room occupancy.

Teens between 9 and 12 years old who stay with parents sharing existing beds, will pay an additional $10 per person, per night plus applicable taxes without exceeding the occupancy capacity of the room.

Triple or quadruple rooms: Every extra guest 12 years old or older, will pay an additional US$15 per person per night up to the maximum occupancy capacity of the room.

Cots: subject to availability at no extra charge.

Extra beds: NOT available.

Cancellations and refunds

Booking cancellation request

  • To cancel a reservation the client should take into account that if he cancels within one hour after the confirmation there is no penalization; after that period the cost of one night plus taxes will be charged according to the rate and policy that applies to your confirmation.
  • No-Show charges the first night of the stay plus taxes according to the rate and policy that applies your confirmation.
  • Early Departures will apply the policy of your confirmation and rate.

The cancellation policies during the dates and seasons considered as festive in our calendar, (such as the Holiday Season, Christmas, New Year, Carnival, Holy Week or Easter) are different from the general policies and will be described in your confirmation.

Reservations cancelled 21 days or more before the arrival date are subject to a charge of 25% of the total amount of your reservation.

Reservations canceled within 14 days before the arrival date are subject to a charge of 50% of the total amount of your reservation.

Reservations canceled within the 7 days before the arrival date, or in case of not arriving, will not be refunded.

NON-refundable rates may NOT be taken into account for another service and are NOT transferable to a third party. For more information write an email to info@hotelvistadelmar.com

Date changes:

  • It does not apply to promotional rates (discounts, free nights and / or packages). For regular rates, rooms are subject to availability and can only be changed once
  • If the room or date is not available and the client cannot travel on the original reservation date, it will be considered as canceled and the charge for the first night of stay will not be refundable as applicable policy applies.
  • In cases where the refund is appropriate in terms of these cancellation policies, the amount to be refunded will be made from 15 to 60 business days, which you could see reflected immediately or in a period of 60 days later. This period depends on your bank and exchange rates.
  • In all reservations, rooms and rates marked as Non-Refundable tacitly or expressly, You accept, consciously and ratify that "No refund applies".
  • Rooms, and NON-refundable rates, may NOT be taken into account for another service and are NOT transferable. For more information send an email to info@hotelvistadelmar.com

Groups:

A Group will be considered a request for the reservation of ten or more rooms with the same arrival and departure date.

  • Cancellations and returns will be made in accordance with the dates and times stipulated in the contract. Once the deadlines have expired, the Hotel does NOT accept an extension. The refunds that may take place will be 30 to 50% of your deposit in accordance with the stipulations. There are no 100% refunds.
  • When the client or group has to advance their departure date for any reason external to the Hotel, the total or partial refund of the nights already paid will be restricted.
  • Change of room type: The Upgrade room is subject to availability and if available, it will be confirmed by email info@hotelvistadelmar.com

Note: this confirmation will be understood as notified and accepted by the guest or Group, at the time of being sent by email and paid / deposited / charged to your credit card the payment of the first night of stay. The customer accepts that any Verbal agreement not signed herein and/or in the contract is not valid.

Restrictions

  • Registration of minors under 18 is not allowed without the company of their parents or legal guardian.
  • Minors must be supervised at all times by a responsible adult.
  • The use of non-biodegradable sunscreens is not allowed in the pool. Minors must be monitored at all times by a responsible adult.
  • No pets are allowed.
  • All rooms and public areas of the building, even balconies, are 100% smoke-free and abide under the Law for protection of non-smokers health (Ley de Protección a la Salud de los No Fumadores). Those guests who violate the smoking policy will pay a US$1000 cleaning fee plus the current fine issued by the authority. There is a smoking area outdoors.
  • No visitors are allowed within the hotel facilities.

Guest behavior

We expect the guest to behave in an orderly and acceptable manner at all times and not to disturb the enjoyment of other Guests. We reserve the right to immediately terminate your booking and the booking of your group members if we come (acting reasonably) to consider your conduct as a breach of this clause.

Conducts we consider reasonably inappropriate include, but are not limited to:

  • Inappropriate levels of noise or disturbance.
  • Drunkenness or unruly behavior.
  • Any behavior that seems offensive to other Guests or employees.

We will at all times act in making any determination under this clause.

If your reservation is terminated, because of reasons attributable to you or someone in your group, you will be forced to leave the facilities without any obligation for the hotel to reimburse the lost accommodation or the expenses you incurred as a result of said termination.

Our obligations to you end when your reservation is terminated.

Likewise, you will be responsible for any damage or loss caused by you or any member of your group and have to cover the cost of repairs before your departure.

If you are unable or reluctant to cover repairs, you will also be then responsible for the expenses incurred to satisfy any claim and the legal costs to defend the Hotel, its legal representatives, executives, employees, or agents as a result of your actions, as well as those expenses incurred for processing a lawsuit against you.
